Forces, motion and energy
Use models, graphs, equations and units to explain changes and solve multi-step problems.
AQA and Pearson Edexcel GCSE Physics
Focused one-to-one support that connects physical ideas, equations, practical evidence and exam questions across the learner's actual GCSE Physics course.
The short answer
GCSE Physics tutoring should begin with the exact qualification, board and tier. AQA Physics 8463 and Pearson Edexcel Physics 1PH0 both develop physical models, calculations and practical reasoning, but their specifications and paper structures should not be mixed. A separate-Physics learner also follows a different depth and route from a student taking Combined Science.
A board-aware plan can address energy, electricity, particle models, atomic and nuclear physics, forces and motion, waves, magnetism and electromagnetism, with space physics or astronomy where the confirmed specification requires it. The topic list is only a starting map: the useful next lesson depends on what the learner can explain, calculate and apply independently.
What the plan includes
Use models, graphs, equations and units to explain changes and solve multi-step problems.
Connect circuit behaviour, electrical quantities, fields and electromagnetic effects to measurable evidence.
Move accurately between diagrams, definitions, calculations and causal explanations.
Interpret practical methods, variables, graphs, uncertainty and evaluation without claiming to replace laboratory work.
How support is planned
A useful diagnostic samples more than formula recall. It can check equation selection and rearrangement, unit conversion, graph interpretation, proportional reasoning, practical variables and the causal sequence in a written explanation. That evidence shows whether the next priority is physics knowledge, a mathematical prerequisite, command-word interpretation or presentation.
If regular tutoring is agreed, the learner's assigned curriculum can record topic progress alongside teaching notes and assessment evidence. Fresh questions then test whether the learner can transfer the idea without prompts. Attendance alone is not proof of mastery, and tutoring cannot guarantee a grade or replace decisions made by the learner's school about board, tier or examination entry.
A purposeful lesson
The tutor starts from the exact board, separate-Physics route, tier and current school topic.
A short explanation, graph, practical prompt or calculation shows where reasoning breaks down.
The physical model is made clear before the learner uses it in equations and exam-style contexts.
The student corrects the response, records the precise gap and schedules a fresh independent check.

Questions families ask
Need an answer about a particular learner? The free-trial request goes directly to the Evlent admin workspace.
Parents can request support for AQA 8463 or Pearson Edexcel 1PH0. Evlent confirms the exact course, tier, tutor fit and current availability before offering a trial.
This page is focused on separate GCSE Physics. A Combined Science learner should use the GCSE Science route and identify the board and course so the correct depth and balance across biology, chemistry and physics can be reviewed.
No. A request is checked against the board, tier, subject depth, time zone and current tutor schedule. A trial is proposed only where a suitable tutor and repeatable lesson time can be confirmed.
One-to-one lessons start from £10 per hour. The exact rate is confirmed before paid lessons begin, after the course and proposed tutor arrangement have been reviewed; the proposed initial trial is free.
A parent or guardian should submit the request. The Safeguarding page explains tutor review, professional boundaries, online lesson expectations and the route for concerns; parents can ask which checks apply to a proposed tutor.
