Our safeguarding responsibility
Evlent Education is an independent online tutoring service, not a school. We take concerns about a child's welfare seriously and expect every tutor, student and guardian to maintain safe professional boundaries. The safeguarding contact for Evlent Education is Deepak Yadav at info@evlenteducation.com and +91 9076043682.
This page supports safe online tutoring but does not replace emergency or statutory services.
Tutor review and suitability
Before assigning students, Evlent reviews the tutor's identity, academic background, subject knowledge, teaching experience, communication and suitability for online 1-to-1 work. Shortlisted applicants may be asked for supporting documents, references, an interview and a teaching demonstration.
Criminal-record and barred-list checks differ by country, residence and legal eligibility. We do not describe a tutor as DBS-checked or equivalently cleared unless that specific check has been completed and can be evidenced. Parents may ask which checks apply to a proposed tutor before lessons begin.
Expectations for online lessons
- Lessons should use the agreed meeting link, account and schedule.
- The student should learn in an appropriate shared or observable home environment where possible.
- A parent or guardian should know when the lesson is happening and remain reasonably available for younger learners.
- Tutors and students should use neutral, suitable backgrounds and appropriate clothing and language.
- Private meeting links, portal credentials and student information must not be shared.
- Tutors must record attendance and report unexplained non-attendance or concerning behaviour promptly.
Communication and professional boundaries
Communication between a tutor and student must relate to teaching, scheduling or learning support and should use channels known to Evlent and the guardian. A tutor must not seek secrecy from a guardian, arrange private in-person contact, exchange inappropriate personal content, request money directly from a student, or move the relationship outside Evlent without written agreement.
Students and guardians must also communicate respectfully and must not harass, threaten, discriminate against or pressure tutors to share private personal information.
Cameras, recording and materials
Camera use should be agreed with the guardian and appropriate to the lesson. No participant may audio record, video record, photograph or publicly share a lesson without prior informed agreement from Evlent, the tutor and the guardian. Any approved recording must have a defined purpose, access limit and deletion date.
Reporting a concern
Report a safeguarding concern, boundary issue, suspicious message or accidental disclosure as soon as possible. Include only the information needed to explain the concern. Do not confront a person if doing so could increase risk or destroy evidence.
Evlent may preserve relevant records, restrict portal or meeting access, pause lessons, contact the guardian, and refer a concern to an appropriate authority or emergency service. Information is shared on a need-to-know basis with the child's welfare as the priority.
Privacy and review
Safeguarding records are handled with restricted access under our Privacy Policy. This policy is reviewed as the service, locations and official guidance change.
