1. The service and agreement
Evlent Education is an independently operated online tutoring service managed by Deepak Yadav. These terms apply to website enquiries, portal use and tutoring arranged through Evlent. A written quotation, schedule or agreed message may add service-specific terms. If there is a conflict, the most recent written agreement for that tutoring arrangement will apply.
Tutoring supports learning but does not guarantee a particular grade, examination result, school place or other outcome. Progress depends on attendance, effort, prior knowledge, lesson frequency and factors outside Evlent's control.
2. Parents, guardians and students
A parent or guardian must provide accurate year, curriculum, subject, contact and availability information and tell us about relevant learning needs that can safely and lawfully be shared. The guardian remains responsible for the student's welfare and suitable supervision, equipment and internet access during online lessons.
Students and guardians must use meeting links and portal access only for the assigned learner and must treat tutors respectfully.
3. Scheduling, cancellation and changes
Lessons may be one-off or recurring and are scheduled in a named time zone. Recurring schedules can have an end date. Users should check the local time displayed in their portal, particularly around daylight-saving changes.
Cancellation, postponement, lateness and rescheduling terms will be stated in the quotation or tutoring arrangement. Where no separate term was agreed, reasonable notice should be given as early as possible. Evlent may record the reason and outcome for operational, attendance and billing accuracy. A cancelled or postponed class is not treated as completed unless the agreed cancellation terms say it is chargeable.
Evlent may replace a tutor, change a meeting link or reschedule where needed for safety, availability or service continuity, after informing the affected family where reasonably possible.
4. Quotations, fees and payment
Rates can vary by student, subject, tutor, currency and billing method. The quotation or written agreement will state the expected hours, rate, currency and payment arrangement. GBP and INR records are kept in their transaction currency.
A quotation is not itself a payment or completed-class charge. Payments are recorded separately and allocated to the relevant family, student, subject, package or outstanding balance. Prepaid hours, advance credit and post-class billing are applied according to the agreed arrangement.
Families should raise any billing concern promptly so corrections can be made with a traceable adjustment rather than deleting financial history.
5. Portal accounts and security
Portal credentials are personal. Users must keep passwords and meeting links confidential, sign out on shared devices and notify Evlent immediately if access may have been compromised. A student may access only their own information. A tutor may access only assigned learners and work records. Administrative access is used to operate, support, audit and secure the service.
Evlent may suspend an account where there is suspected misuse, a safeguarding risk, non-payment, a security concern or a serious breach of these terms.
6. Online lesson conduct and safeguarding
All participants must follow the Safeguarding and Online Lessons Policy. Communication should remain professional and related to learning. Harassment, discrimination, sexual content, threats, credential sharing, unauthorised recording or attempts to bypass portal access are prohibited.
7. Learning materials and recording
Learning materials provided by Evlent or a tutor are for the assigned student's personal educational use unless stated otherwise. They must not be resold, publicly distributed or represented as someone else's work. Lessons must not be audio or video recorded without prior informed agreement from Evlent, the tutor and the parent or guardian.
8. Availability and reasonable limits
We take reasonable care to provide a reliable service, but internet, electricity, video-platform or hosting failures can occasionally interrupt access. We will work to restore service or make a reasonable scheduling adjustment. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.
To the extent allowed by law, Evlent is not responsible for indirect losses or decisions made solely from tutoring guidance. Any direct liability will be considered in light of the fees paid for the affected service and the circumstances of the claim.
9. Privacy, changes and law
Personal information is handled under our Privacy Policy. We may update these terms for legal, security or operational reasons. Material changes affecting an active arrangement will be communicated where appropriate.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, while preserving any mandatory consumer rights that apply in the country where the family receives the service. Questions should be sent to info@evlenteducation.com.
